Course Summary: The workshop is
aimed at parents who have children diagnosed with ADHD, Oppositional Defiant
Disorder (ODD) or Conduct Disorder.
The workshops is designed especially for parents trying to manage challenging
behaviours in the home.
In this workshop challenging behaviours are considered to arise from a lack
of "fit" between the child and the environment and this lack of fit is grounded
in deficits in essential skills. This workshop goes beyond the basic behaviour
management programmes designed to get children to simply do as their told.
The workshop is conducted usually as 8 sessions on
consecutive weeks. Attendance at all sessions is important.
